St. Leonard’s Place Peel Announces New CEO
St. Leonard’s Place Peel is pleased to announce that Leslie Barnes has been hired as our new CEO. Leslie assumed the role of CEO on July 6.
Leslie has over 25 years of progressive leadership experience. Her career has been spent working with vulnerable populations including those with mental health challenges, addictions, conflict with the law and homelessness. Leslie most recently served as the Director of Client Services at Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP).
Leslie is known by those she works with for her exceptional interpersonal skills and for her superior record with providing excellent leadership to staff. She works from a client centered and strength-based approach and is committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Her areas of focus and strengths include Strategic Leadership, Service Management, Service Delivery and Health Equity which makes her a natural leader in people management, strategic thinking, and leading and managing change.
Leslie holds a Masters of Leadership from the University of Guelph and lives in the Peel Community. In her spare time, Leslie loves travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
Leslie is looking forward to working alongside the board, existing SLPP staff and community members.
